Opalescence can be found in the dental areas in a wide variety of materials with low opacity. Opalescent material appears yellowish-red in scattered light and blue perpendicular to transmitted light. Since natural teeth in the incisal range also show this phenomenon and we like this effect so much, we have designed Opalescence for ceramists together with a Japanese glass manufacturer.
